The future will be cheap with expensive episode reality show

Producers and television networks in the past have tried to control the cost of television programs. NBC Universal Television president Jeff Zucker in 2002 had intended to make cheap first episode, but it failed.

In 2003, ABC once The Practice $ 6.5 million per episode production costs cut in half, but with six actors have resigned (including the protagonist DylanMcDermott, drama finally became completely another drama.

Many industry insiders believe the future will gradually get rid of the television industry drama TV series, because the replay is difficult to achieve high profits. Coupled with local stations and DVD player sales are also numerous uncertainties, the television industry profit outlook is very bleak.

Want to emulate several major television networks and other cable stations TNT and USA with low production of "The Closer" and psych season 6 DVD and other series, so set up a WarnerHorizon and Fox21. Some executives believe that broadcasters will further diversify so episodes, the cheap reality show with expensive Drama Series combine --- In a sense, this point and film companies are very close --- blockbuster blockbuster strategy and independent sectors combined screening small budget films.

Undoubtedly, a revolution is coming, perhaps taking place. Television executives are just not seeing it, but the change is indeed happening.
